SCHOLARSHIP NAME CRITERIA ANNUAL AMOUNT
Academic Senate Applicants must have completed at least 20 degree-applicable units at FRC at the time of the initial scholarship disbursement, must be enrolled full-time and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. One of the two letters of reference MUST be from an FRC faculty member. $500 payable at

Applicants must be enrolled full-time and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate community and/or school involvement through their personal essay. $500 payable at
$250 per semester
Faculty Union Applicants must be enrolled full time and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. $300 payable in
the fall semester
Feather River College Foundation Scholarship Applicants must show interest and investment in their community. Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to learn and work hard at their academics. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units at FRC. Students must demonstrate financial need. Up to $1,000

Osher Scholarship Five scholarship awards are available which are funded by The California Community Colleges Scholarship Endowment and the generosity of The Bernard Osher Foundation. Applicants must have completed 24 or more degree-applicable units (or the equivalent) at the time of the initial scholarship disbursement, and must be receiving the California College Promise Grant (formerly BOG Fee waiver). Priority will be given to applicants with financial need. Recipients must be enrolled at least half-time (6 or more units) during all semesters in which the award remains active. Up to $1100;
will be prorated based on enrollment; payable up to  $550 per semester
Osher Named Scholarship Three scholarship awards are available which are funded by local donors including the Agriculture/Equine Department, Bill Peters, Bob Shoensee, George McNulty, Larry Gonsalves, Max Benton, Pat Buckner, and Phil Johnson. Applicants must have completed 24 or more degree-applicable units (or the equivalent) at the time of the initial scholarship disbursement, and must be receiving the California College Promise Grant (formerly BOG waiver). Priority will be given to applicants with financial need,agriculture majors participating in the equine studies program, those majoring in art, environmental studies/hatchery, or culinary arts, as well as students who have been accepted into the Licensed Vocational Nursing program. Recipients must be enrolled at least half-time (6 or more units) during all semesters in which the award remains active. Up to $1100; will be
prorated based on enrollment
Rose Cortez Memorial Applicants must have successfully completed 12 units or more at FRC, must be enrolled full-time and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of the initial scholarship disbursement.  One letter of reference must be from an FRC staff or faculty member and one from a professional reference (e.g. high school teacher, administrator, employer, clergyman, community organizer, etc.) Recipients must be enrolled full-time and maintain a 3.0 GPA during both semesters in which the award remains active. $500 payable at $250 per semester
