Getting Started with Online Courses

This checklist outlines the steps you should complete before starting an online course at Feather River College. Once you are able to check off all items, you are ready to begin.

Get Ready

  • Research whether online courses are a good fit for your learning style and schedule.

Get Set

  • Apply and get admitted to Feather River College.
  • Meet with an FRC advisor to select your course(s).
  • Confirm that you meet the technical requirements for your selected course(s).
  • Log in to MyFRC and enroll in your course(s).
  • Submit your preferred email address in MyFRC.

Go!

  • Your instructor will provide instructions for getting started. You may also contact your instructor directly via email. Instructor information is available in the course schedule or the campus directory.
Tip: Check your FRC email regularly before the semester begins. Most instructors will send important course information during the week prior to the start of classes.
