2025 Honors In Action Project: The Power of Stories
Each year, Phi Theta Kappa chapters engage in an Honors in Action project, which encourages community college students to combine scholarship, research, service, collaboration, and creativity to build projects that resonate with both campus and community. The theme for the year's Honors in Action project is “The Power of Stories”, with a focus on “Stories of Persistence, Resilience, Healing, and Sorrow”.
In the face of adversity, change, growth, sorrow, perseverance, and triumph, stories remain the thread that binds humanity across time. Personal narratives carry generational knowledge, entertain, and heal. This special edition of Cambium brings together a collective of artists’ and authors' works born from this program.
This collection of poetry and prose is from a collaboration with Honor Students who are a part of the Incarcerated Students Program (Rising Scholars) at Feather River College. Through pen and paper, these students have discovered a pathway to healing, reconciliation, and self-expression. Their words have been curated for our readers, so that you may also garner a glimmer of hope, sorrow, or empathy as you reflect on your own stories and read those shared here.
Stay tuned--this special edition of Cambium will be published soon. To find out more about Cambium, you can visit the Cambium website.
