Welcome Go Teach Students!
We are happy to have you...
The first step is to let us know that you are interested in having a coach. You can click the link below and a staff member will contact you shortly.
You are eligible for a coach if you meet one or more of the following.
- You are a student in Plumas County enrolled in an ECE course at FRC with a lab component, including the ECE Cooperative Work Experience course.
- You are employed in a licensed or license-exempt ECE program in Plumas County in a new or ungraded position.
- You are employed in a public, private or charter school through grade 3 or an after-school program.
- You are self-employed in a family child care home or seeking a license
- You are a volunteer in any of the above and are seeking a career in an ECE program.
It is important for us to pair you with a qualified coach who has the experience and education to meet your needs. A Go Teach staff member will talk with you about your current situation and goals to find a potential coach to match your needs. Your geographic location in Plumas County may also play a part in the selection.
Your coach will work with you as a partner to support your identified needs and goals coupled with the skills they see that could be strengthened. In time, you may find that your goals change. Our method of coaching allows for flexibility as your skill level increases and new needs are identified. A coach can support you in gaining or strengthening skills to help you successfully find employment in the field of ECE, retain employment or advance on a career ladder.
Usually pairings are successful, but if the situation is not a good fit for either you or the coach, we can make adjustments that are better aligned with your current or changing needs.
Please note that all coaching pairings are subject to availability and funding.
You are eligible for a coach if you are self-employed in a childcare home or seeking a license
