Foundation Scholarships
Thanks to donors, friends, and fundraisers, the Foundation gives many scholarships every year.
The Feather River College Foundation Scholarship Committee selects candidates that meet the requirements outlined in the scholarships. These include specific areas such as academic achievement, financial need, personal strengths, honors and awards, leadership, and commitment to giving back to the community.
Scholarship recipients are notified by email at the end of the screening process and awards are deposited in students' accounts for the following fall or spring term upon verification of enrollment and any required criteria. Enrollment requirements vary per scholarship. Most foundation scholarships require half-time enrollment, but some require full-time or three-quarter time enrollment. Please note that if the student is not meeting all of the requirements of eligibility at the time of disbursement we will not release the funds. Failure to enroll, meet all eligibility requirements, or dropping all classes after enrollment nullifies eligibility and award funds may be required to be repaid to the Foundation or donor. The number and award amount of scholarships are for general information purposes only and should not be considered a guarantee of what you will receive if selected. Actual award amounts vary based on students’ individual eligibility, funds available, and other factors.
By submitting an application, you are authorizing the various departments or committees at the college to access grade and course completion information. You also authorize the college to publicize information about the awarding of scholarship(s). Additionally, you may be asked to write a thank-you letter to the donor, attend a scholarship recipient reception, and/or take a photo to be used for publicity purposes.
The Foundation works in partnership with individuals and organizations to create personalized or memorial scholarships and awards for deserving students. Contact the Foundation for more information at foundation@frc.edu
