Leslie lived with grace and an unshakable zest for life. In the 1980s, Leslie moved to Quincy, California, a place that became home to her growing family. At Feather River Community College, Leslie built a career dedicated to learning, mentorship, and community. Her impact there was profound and lasting. As registrar of the College, Leslie advocated for all students.

Leslie was a loving and devoted wife to her husband and best friend, Randy Mikesell. Together, they shared a life of deep connection and worldly adventure. Leslie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and her Graeagle Community Church family held a very special place in her heart. Her faith shone brightly in all she did, offering others strength and comfort.

In her long battle with cancer, Leslie came to have a deep appreciation for those who serve in the medical community. Leslie’s spirit will live on in every mountain breeze, every classroom, every joyful gathering, and every heartfelt prayer.
