Lost Sierra Versatility Ranch Horse Schooling Show and Jackpot

May 5, 2024, Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds

The Feather River College Horse Show Program has teamed up with High Mountain Riders to produce the inaugural Lost Sierra Versatility Ranch Horse Schooling Show and Jackpot on May 5, 2024 at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds.

The show will host a list of versatility ranch horse classes following AQHA rules for VRH and be judged by VRH Judge Mike Lund.

Featuring the following classes:

  • Working Western Rail
  • Ranch Riding
  • Ranch Reining
  • Ranch Trail
  • Ranch Rail Pattern 
    • Featuring a Rail/Trail Jackpot 

Stalls

We invite you to make a weekend of it! The show will be held on Sunday, after the High Mountain Riders Working Equitation Schooling Show on Saturday.

Stalls are available for the weekend at $20 a night. Stalls are free for FRC alumni!

High Mountain Riders Working Horse Equitation Schooling Show

May 4, Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds

The day before will also include a Working Horse Equitation Schooling Show hosted by Plumas County’s local horse show club, High Mountain Riders, on Saturday, May 4 at the fairgrounds. 

Show starts at 9 a.m. 

Working Horse Description- English or Western riders judged on horse quality of movement and overall manners and responsiveness while performing required maneuver with the ability to work at forward working speed and frame while in balance and under control.        

Classes include:

  • Working Horse Equitation and Pattern classes,
  • Walk/Trot Classes
  • Working Trail Pattern (inside and outside).
