
Week of Welcome 2023

Each new semester, FRC offers students a week full of activities to help encourage networking and allow new students to meet others. These events are a great way to meet new people, become familiar with your surroundings, and have a fun start to each semester. *Please note that all events and activities are subject to change.

New Student Orientation & Resource Fair
Learn what it takes to be a successful student at New Student Orientation (NSO). Meet other new students and staff, learn about programs and services, and join in some fun games and activities. Check in starts at 9:00am at the gym, with the Resource Fair happening until 10:00am. Orientation will run from 10:00am - 12:00pm in various locations around campus, with a free lunch at the Perch afterwards.
All students planning to attend New Student Orientation must register below!

Welcome Dinner & Games
Join us IN THE GYM for a delicious meal and fun games. This is a great way to mix and mingle with other new Golden Eagles. There will be a nacho bar for dinner, along with games, music, fun and more!

Pool Party: CANCELLED (due to weather)
Due to the unexpected inclement weather, we are cancelling the Pool Party on Monday. Please join us for other WOW events happening throughout the week!
AUG 22

Games on the Green
Take a mid-day break from classes and join your fellow students and Student Ambassadors for some fun on the FRC green. There will be prizes for winners and free swag for participants. We hope you can join us!
AUG 23
2:00 - 4:00pm
Day at the River
Our Outdoor Recreation Leadership (ORL) program will lead us on an adventure to a local river and swimming hole. They will provide rafts and flotation devices to make sure we can all enjoy our local waterway. Meet at the ORL building before 2pm to carpool to the nearby river together.
AUG 24
5:30 - 7:00pm
Concert on the Green
The annual Concert on the Green is back again this year, featuring a local group of musicians, "MacGroover". Meet at the lower green and bring your dancing shoes, as this band is known for its funky grooves. There will be a free dinner as well for students, so come hungry.
Note - This event is free and open to the whole campus and Quincy community.
