

Get a Head Start on College with Summer Bridge!
Summer Bridge 2023 is happening August 7th - 17th. Register today!
The Summer Bridge Program is designed to help incoming students bridge the transition from high school student to college student. Students participate in a two-week program of college success workshops. Examples of topics include general "college knowledge", study skills, time management, learning styles, strategies for studying, expectations, and more. School supplies and lunch are also provided each day and fun local activities are organized. Participation in the program is free!

Summer Bridge FAQ's
Priority is given to new students who are one or more of the following: enrolled in a support class such as Math 102 or ENGL 100, first generation college student, low-income, from Plumas County, eligible for DSPS services, foster youth or a veteran.
Students who are committed to their education and feel they would benefit from a refresher, or just want to get ahead are also encouraged to sign up.
Monday, August 7th-11th and 14th-17th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Workshops are held on the FRC Campus!
Participation will give you the chance to be better integrated with the college and community by meeting new students, faculty and student services staff.
Summer Bridge will provide you with the academic skills needed to be successful in college. You will develop relationships on campus with instructors, mentors, advisors, student ambassadors and other supportive members of the campus community.
If that's not enough reason, there are more incentives! Attend all sessions and get up to $300 in textbooks loaned to you for fall semester (conditional on funding and number of qualified students) also earn meal cards, movie tickets, calculators and other cool things!
