Poetry Month, featuring visiting poet, Sarah Pape

Please join us on April 28th in the FRC Library to celebrate National Poetry Month and the release of the Spring 2026 edition of Cambium, which highlights the poetry, prose, and artwork of over 50 students and community members! This year, Sarah Pape will join us as our Guest Poet. Sarah Pape teaches English and works as the Managing Editor of Watershed Review at Chico State. She is the Co-Director of the Northern California Writing Project. Her poetry and prose appeared in The New York Times, New England Review, Passages North, Ecotone, Hayden’s Ferry Review, and elsewhere. Her debut poetry collection, Forgive the Animal, was published by Cornerstone Press (2024). She curates community literary programming at the 1078 Gallery and is a member of the Community of Writers.

Check out her website for more info at sarahpape.com

We will have limited editions of Sarah’s poetry collection for students, as well as contributor’s copies of Cambium and some Cambium SWAG!

The evening will begin at 5:30pm with refreshments. Sarah will share a reading and a craft talk at 6pm. At 7pm, a student Open Mic will begin.

All are invited to join us for the entire evening, or whatever portion you can attend!
