Feather River College recently introduced a new MyFRC portal, and while the functionality is generally the same as before, the appearance has certainly received an upgrade. This new portal features a more modern look and feel, while streamlining the most important technology that both students and staff utilize. We have developed this MyFRC Help Webpage to address the most frequently asked questions and provide helpful resources to help make your experience as smooth as possible.
FRC upgraded the current MyFRC and Banner system to a modern more user-friendly platform called "Experience". Students and staff will notice we still refer to this as MyFRC though, and all functionality that was once available in MyFRC is still available through Experience.
FRC students and staff can expect a more smoother, more streamlined experience through MyFRC. This includes easier access to valuable technology resources and a customizable homepage. This recent upgrade features a more modern look and feel, while maintaining the same technological functionality as before.
Same as your FRC network, user email, and network credentials that you used prior. You will not need to reset your password unless you forgot it when trying to login to the new Experience platform.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a way to check that you, and only you, obtain access to your account. Once enabled, you will receive a request for more information when you sign-in. You can elect to receive a text, phone call, or utilize a Microsoft Authenticator app. It is important to keep your details up to date, for example, if you change your phone number.
Staff and faculty should already have this set up through the Duo Mobile app, which was required to help enhance digital security. Students are the only ones at this time that should need to set up their MFA.
6) Are there any new features that were not available through the previous MyFRC for students, staff, or faculty?
Besides the new modern layout, the homepage tiles are all customizable to each user's needs. The most recognizable new feature will be the multi-factor authentication (MFA) required at sign in that will allow students to use a single login to access MyFRC, email, and our FRC network. This new Experience platform is also very mobile responsive, creating a more user-friendly experience for those utilizing mobile devices to access.
