Elevate Your Voice: Join Us at the 6th Annual CCC LGBTQ+ Summit - April 24th-25th, 2024

Dear California Community College Student,

We are excited to extend a heartfelt invitation to you to participate in the 6th Annual CCC LGBTQ+ Summit, which will be held virtually on April 24th-25th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Registration is FREE and we hope you will join us! 

As current students within the California Community College system, your perspectives, experiences, and voices are invaluable to us. The summit serves as an inclusive space for students, faculty, classified professionals, and administrators to convene, collaborate, and advocate for LGBTQ+ inclusion and empowerment within our educational institutions.

This year's summit theme, "The Unstoppable Movement for Queer & Trans Liberation," underscores the urgent need for solidarity and collective action in advancing LGBTQ+ rights and affirming the identities of all students. By participating in the summit, you will have the opportunity to:

• Share your unique experiences and perspectives on LGBTQ+ issues within the community college setting.
• Engage in meaningful dialogue with fellow students, educators, and administrators from across California.
• Learn about innovative strategies and successful initiatives aimed at creating more inclusive and affirming campus environments.
• Amplify your voice and contribute to the ongoing movement for queer and trans liberation in higher education.

Attending the summit also provides an excellent opportunity to connect with representatives from the University of California and the California State University systems. As many of you aspire to transfer to universities within these systems, your participation in the summit enables you to learn about the resources and support available to LGBTQ+ students at higher education institutions beyond community college.

We encourage you to seize this opportunity to elevate your voice, share your perspectives, and be part of the conversation about LGBTQ+ inclusion and advocacy within the California community colleges.
