College & Career Fair 2025
September 16th from 9:30am - 12:00pm
Feather River College will host the annual College & Career Fair for 11th and 12th grade students from Plumas and Sierra County service areas, as well as current FRC students. The fair will take place on the Lower Green behind the FRC gymnasium. Students will have an opportunity to learn more about local industries, regional colleges, FRC programs and resources, and more. This is an opportunity to speak with college and career representatives to gather information to help plan for life after graduation!
Please note - there will not be a free lunch offered at this year's event, so we are asking that high schools please plan accordingly. Thank you!
FRC student portion of fair is between 10:30am - 12:00pm
FRC students are encouraged to attend the College & Career Fair between 10:30am - 12pm on the lower green. For current FRC students, this is a great opportunity to learn about transfer institutions and local career opportunities.
Please note - this College & Career Fair is designed for BOTH local high school students and current FRC students to attend. FRC students DO NOT need to attend the campus tour or CTE panel discussions, but are invited College & Career Fair on the lower green.
Schedule for High School Students Only
Group A: Quincy High School & Quincy Charter School
- 9:15am - Arrive at FRC (lower practice field by Nursing building parking lot)
- 9:30am - Campus Tour
- 10:00am - CTE Panel Discussion (inside gym)
- 10:30am - College Fair (lower green outside of gym)
- 11:30am - High school students return to buses for lunch on their respective campuses
Group B: Loyalton, Portola, & Chester High Schools
- 9:45am - Arrive at FRC (lower practice field by Nursing building parking lot)
- 10:00am - Campus Tour
- 10:30am - CTE Panel Discussion (inside gym)
- 11:00am - College Fair (lower green outside of gym)
- 12:00pm - High school students return to buses for lunch on the bus
Special Panel Discussion from Regional Industry Leaders!
Each panelist represents an important CTE industry sector for the North State Region of California. These industries all feature job placement opportunities that students can take advantage of while earning their degree at FRC, and all of these sectors are academic pathways at our High Schools and are aligned to programs at Feather River College.
