What if a student has transcripts from other colleges? Where should these be sent?

After submitting a transcript request, please notify the Rising Scholars Office to confirm receipt.

What if a student needs to send an official transcript to a third party?

With assistance from a coordinator, students may request a transcript order form. End-of-semester transcripts count toward the two (2) free official requests. Additional requests may include a $5 fee, and Rising Scholars may assist with additional requests when possible.

Can students request a progress report?

Students receive a midterm progress report after exams are graded. They may also request updates through the Office Hour form at any time.

What should a student do if their transcript seems incorrect?

Students should contact the Rising Scholars Office or ask their coordinator to verify grades. Copies of coursework may be requested if needed.

Why doesn’t a certificate of specialization appear on transcripts?

Certificates are not listed on transcripts, but completed courses and grades are included. A printed certificate is issued separately.

How do students receive final grades?

Official transcripts are printed after grades are posted and distributed through site coordinators.

What if courses from another college are missing from a Student Education Plan?

Students should contact the Rising Scholars Office with course details for review.

What if a student needs additional resources?

Students should use the facility library first. Additional materials can be requested from instructors or the Rising Scholars Office.

What if a student is not receiving returned assignments?

Students should submit a correspondence form to the Rising Scholars Office for follow-up.

What if work is returned ungraded?

Students should note the issue and have the coordinator resend it. The office will follow up with the instructor.

What should students do with graded work?

Keep all graded work until final grades and transcripts are received.

Are exams closed book?

Exams are typically closed book unless otherwise specified. Check the syllabus for details.

What if textbook pages don’t match the assignment?

Use the textbook index to locate content. If needed, contact the Rising Scholars Office.

What happens if a student is transferred mid-semester?

Notify the education coordinator immediately. Arrangements will be made for continuation at the new site.

What happens if a student paroles?

Students should contact the Rising Scholars Office immediately so materials can be provided to complete the course.
