Mountain Kids Summer Camp

June 17th, 2019 to July 11th, 2019

Monday through Thursday

Mountain Kids Summer Camp is a four week long summer program that offers a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) based curriculum that allows children to explore different areas of study and provides them with an understanding of how each subject is connected. The children won’t just learn science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, they will make it, create it, and build it! Our summer camp will be a nice way for children to experience the joy of academic achievement in a supportive, fun environment both indoors and outdoors.

We will introduce your children to new activities and skills. Your kids will have fun while they develop new interests and practice skills like curiosity, teamwork, kindness, or self-confidence.

There will be a healthy mixture of activities, with a good part of the day involved in playing games, being outdoors, participating in challenges, etc.  So, activities that could be perceived as educational are mixed in with those that bring balance and laughter.

Although STEAM summer camps don’t replace school, our camp may still inspire future scientists, technologists, engineers, artists or mathematicians by encouraging campers to explore these subjects in ways that they might not get to during the school year. Children will learn key knowledge about the natural universe and where everything comes from, use tools and innovated devices to enhance abilities, they will have purposeful innovations, be able to express themselves through forms of art, and learn basic mathematic skills. Children will gain skills that will be carried throughout their years of learning and will be able to ask questions, carry out investigations, and analyze based off of their findings.
