CCCEOPSA 2021 Scholarship

Application deadline:  April 23, 2021,   4:00 PM.

The mission of Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is to encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of students impacted by language, social, economic and educational disadvantages, and to facilitate the successful completion of their goals and objectives in college.

This $750 scholarship will be awarded to one exceptional EOPS student who is eligible by meeting the Applicant Criteria.  The winner of this award will be a student whom regardless of being impacted by social, economic, educational and/or language disadvantages has demonstrated determination and perseverance through academic achievement and consistent academic progress.  A biography of the winner, along with a photo, will be submitted to the CCCEOPSA committee and featured in the 2022 calendar and conference. 

Applicant Criteria

  • 2.0 GPA or higher
  • Two or more semesters in EOPS
  • Consistent good standing in the EOPS program (not currently on EOPS probation)
  • Continuing classes at Feather River College or transferring to a four-year college in fall 2021

 

Complete the application and either submit a written essay, or a presentation (where you record a narration with your PowerPoint presentation).  Note:  Presentations may be viewed at statewide EOPS conference in October 2021.

Tell us why this EOPS award will impact your current and future educational journey. Be sure to explain the social, economic, educational and/or language disadvantages you have faced to become a successful college student.  Include anything else you want us to know about you.
