Campus Projects

The Sustainability Action Team works both on campus and in our community with the goal of improving sustainability.

Feather River College finalized our Sustainability Management Plan in 2013. The Sustainability Action Team regularly reviews campus progress on projects from the plan, updating priorities and action plans. In addition we spearhead other campus and community projects that are consistent with our mission.

Recent and ongoing projects include:

1. Dorm waste diversion project
2. Campus recycling initiative
3. Campus alternative energy updates
   1. Solar panels on the hatchery
   2. Solar heating system on campus pool
   3. LED bulbs across campus
4. Campus Firewise assessment
5. New campus educational signs
6. Ongoing work to forward Sustainability Management Plan goals (2017 progress report)
7. Hosting annual Spring Sustainability Speaker Series
