Student Support Services (SSS)/TRiO strives to increase the success of students who are low income, 1st generation,and/or have a disability.

The goal of SSS is to keep students in school, increase the number that earn an associates degree or certificate and transfer to a four year college. Feather River College SSS/TRiO program offers Academic Advising, Priority Registration, mentoring, Financial Literacy Workshops, Transfer Workshops and Trips, Student Success Workshops, Cultural Events and Scholarships.

Student Support Services is one of several Federal TRiO programs that provide educational opportunities designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Student Support Services was created in 1986 and is fully funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
