Student Support Services/ TRiO
Student Support Services (SSS), one of three TRiO programs, strives to increase the possibility of collegiate success for students who are low income, first generation, and/or have a disability. The goal of SSS is to keep students in school, increase the number that graduate, and provide an environment that supports success. Feather River College Student Support Services provides a comfortable environment, tutoring, caring staff, advising, counseling and a home-away-from-home environment to motivate students towards the successful completion of their postsecondary education.
Student Support Services is one of several Federal TRIO programs that provide educational opportunities designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Student Support Services was created in 1986 and is fully funded by the Department of Education.
