Background: Richie grew up in Tres Pinos, Ca.,. on the San Benito Cattle Co. Ranch.  Richie likes to break horses and sleep in.  Richie started Steer Wrestling last fall and is doing very well.  His main event is Calf  Roping which he really enjoys.  Richie sat this first year out, and  his goal is to make it to the College Finals in all three events next year.

Background: Vanessa is a freshman here at FRC. Her major is genetic engineering which she will obtain a degree in when she transfers to UC Davis. Vanessa attended Williams High School for 3 years then transferred to Maxwell High for her senior year. In high school Vanessa participated in many sports such as volleyball, basketball, softball, track and soccer. In her spare time she likes to go hunting, fishing, mud-running, and of course riding her beautiful horse Sarah. Sarah is Vanessa’s 5 year old buckskin quarter horse, and she is ready to run for FRC. One of Vanessa’s biggest passions is singing and song writing. All through high school she represented my county by singing the National Anthem for any event that took place, such as the opening of fair and athletic events. This year she has the privilege to sing for not only our rodeo team, but all of Feather Rivers events

After he is done with school at FRC he would like to take diesel tech classes and work as a Tractor service mechanic. Background:Tyree is 19 years old and has grown up on a ranch since he was born. This last summer he decided he wanted to rodeo and started riding bulls, so he decided to join the FRC rodeo team. Tyree is planning on getting his AA degree from FRC and then getting his Fire Science degree. He would like to become a firefighter or a paramedic. This is Tyree’s second semester here at FRC.

Background: Jessicas's parents are Jim & Debbie Moore, she has a sixteen year old sister (Brittany) and a seven year old brother (Casey).  Jes loves Feather River College and loves to have people her age to practice and rodeo with.  Jessica competes in Barrels, Goats and Breakaway and would compete as a header if she had a partner.    She is shy until you get to know her and will hardly speak her mind unless pushed.  She does and always has - love rodeo and good horses, more than anything.  Her goal since a small child has been to become a large animal vet.

Background :Ciera grew up in New Castle, California.  She has 3 brothers and is the youngest of four so she is pretty tough. Ciera competed in District 3 Ca. High School Rodeo.  She is majoring in Equine Studies and plans on transferring to UNR in Reno  after earning her degree from FRC.   Ciera’s Hobbies are shopping and riding her horses.  Ciera is unsure of what degree she will be pursuing but she does want to pursue a career in horse training after college.
