The tickets will be $50.00 a piece at the door, but if you send in your ticket money early, they are only going to be $45.00. The money raised at the event goes to help support the FRC Rodeo Team in scholarships and facilities upgrade. Make sure you have a spot at this great event and help support some great rodeo student athletes.
4th Annual Banquet a success
The fourth annual Feather River College Rodeo Banquet was again a hit. The move to the Atlantis Hotel and Casino for the event proved to be a great decision. The staff at the Atlantis went out of their way to provide all who attended exactly what they needed, along with a beautiful banquet room for the night. The women’s team and Valerie did a great job decorating the room with all of the wonderful banquet items that were donated for the auction. The auction grossed close to $20,000. Money that the program is using for scholarships along with help in providing support to the rodeo program for things from hay to new stalls for the rodeo program students.
3rd Annual Rodeo Banquet a hit
The change of venue for the rodeo banquet to the Silver Legacy turned out to be a great decision. Over 275 people showed up to make this the largest banquet in FRC rodeo history. The Silver Baron banquet room was decorated in hues of green and gold and the food prepared by the Silver Legacy staff was commended by all in attendance.
The 3 main goals for the banquet were accomplished. Firstly , recognition was given to outstanding members of the rodeo team. Richie Coefield and Blaire Bidwell were named Top Hands, Jesse Gonzales and Jessica Moore took Top Rookie awards home. Joe Nash and Natalie Canelis were recognized as Hardest Workers, and Most Improved went to Steve Hacker, the Most Try awards went to Steve Lassen and Adam Bugenig. A special award was given to Nick Taliaferro. The MVC, or Most Valuable Cowboy, award was given to Nick for all of the hard work he has done for the rodeo program over the last 3 years. Danny Leonhardt, a rodeo program supporter from Quincy, presented Nick with a vintage black powder rifle with his name engraved on the gun.
The second goal of fundraising was also accomplished. The rodeo team took in a gross amount of over $24,000 from the banquet. With Frankie Martinez auctioneering, the bidding was getting out of control. The high selling item was a western table and bench made by Scott Spero and the Ag. Metal fabrication class. The bench was bought by Danny Leonhardt and Dave Taliaferro for $2,400.00. They then donated it back and Dick and Jeannie Coefield bought it for $1,200.00. The silent auction was also a hit bringing in nearly $7,000.00.
The third goal of getting friends and family together and having a good time, was easily accomplished. After the auction, Gary Gragnani provided the musical entertainment. Everyone seemed to be pleased with the banquet and anxious to see what the spring will bring for the Feather River College Rodeo Team.

2006 Rodeo Banquet a Huge Success
It was hard to not enjoy yourself at the Second Annual Rodeo Banquet which was held on March 4th at the Nugget Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Over 250 people came to the Ponderosa room to support the future of FRC rodeo. The night started out with a great sit down dinner provided by the wonderful staff at the Nugget and an abundance of silent auction items generously donated by various sponsors. Following dinner women's rodeo team member Natalie Canelis' video of the year thus far was a hit. Team awards were then given out by the coaches, and then it was on to the live auction where once again auctioneer, Carla Gianolini, took control of the crowd and everyone had a great time. The biggest buyer of the night was Rob Ross from San Jose, California. Mr. Ross bought the trip to Maui and the Rodeo Club President Nick Taliaferro NFR tickets. Another couple who made their presence known was Rich and Judy Cable. They bought seven silent auction items as well as two live auction items. Dutch and Kim Morrison, owners of the Courthouse Café in Quincy, also made their presence known on the silent auction tables by buying eight different items. After the live auction was completed it was time for the band. Gary and Victor Gragnani (who generously donated their musical skills), from Spanish Springs Ranch, Ravendale, California, took over and entertained until the after midnight. All in all, the Second Annual Rodeo Banquet was a huge success.
Thanks to all of you that supported our Banquet in donations and your presence at the Nugget!
