FRC General Education
Requirements |

To graduate with an Associate Degree from FRC, a student must: 1. Complete a minimum of 60 semester units. A minimum of 12 semester units applied to any major field must be completed at FRC, and each additional major requires an additional 12 units, minimum, of courses taken at FRC. The student must be in residence at FRC at the time of application, OR the student must successfully complete a minimum of 32 units of associate degree applicable units at FRC prior to transfer. A minimum of 24 semester units of FRC General Education courses selected from areas A through F must be completed (see next page). Course work from other accredited colleges may be used to satisfy FRC general education requirements. A minimum of 18 semester units must be completed in the student's major. A maximum of 12 semester units of Credit/No Credit grades may be applied to the Associate Degree. A maximum of 16 semester units of Occupational Cooperative Work Experience, or a maximum of 6 semester units of General Cooperative Work Experience, may be applied to the Associate Degree. Courses numbered in the 300's and all noncredit courses may not be applied to the Associate Degree. 2. Attain a minimum cumulative grade point average, GPA, of 2.0.3. File a Petition to Graduate with the Records Office before the deadline listed in the Schedule of Classes. While minimum requirements are listed above, other policies pertaining to graduation will depend on major or transfer requirements. See your counselor well in advance of petitioning for graduation. |
