Feather River College serves students from a variety of backgrounds: traditional students entering directly from high school; continuing students transferring in from other schools; and older students returning to school to further their current vocation, entering a new field of employment or just taking classes for the enjoyment of learning. The unique programs offered by FRC and the pleasant surroundings attract students from Plumas County, surrounding counties in the state, neighboring states, and many other states across the country.
