Darby and Perkins Shine at Showcase
(4/3/08) FRC Basketball- Feather River College sophomores Equs Darby and Ariece Perkins excelled at the California Community College Showcase in Stockton, Ca. in front of hundreds of NCAA college coaches. Darby hit four threes, had five dunks and was active on the glass. Perkins was among the most competitive guards in the competition picking up full court on defense while complimenting his teammates.

Equs Darby shines
(1/23/08) FRC basketball-6'6" guard/foward Equs Darby has been arguably the best player on the floor during a two game home stand as the Golden Eagles defeated College of the Siskiyous and the College of the Redwoods. Darby scored thirty-one points against Siskiyous going 9 of 11 from inside the arc and 1 of 2 from threes. Darby also hit 10 of 13 free throws and hauled down 6 rebounds leading FRC to a 99 to 89 conference win.
Against Redwoods Equs went for twenty-five points hitting 7 of 12 two pointers and 2 of 4 three point shots. Darby converted 5 of 6 from the charity line to again lead FRC to a 95 to 91 win. Darby is getting DI looks going into spring and will evaluated his five visits before make a decision for next year.
Zachary Atkinson signs DI
(11/14/07) FRC basketball-Bishopville, S.C. product Zach Atkinson has committed to U.C. Irvin. Atkinson, a Lee Central high school graduate attracted more Division I colleges to Feather River College than any player in the history the FRC men's program. The 6'8" foward is regarded as the most athletic big man in California with a nack for blocking shots, running the court, and rebounding. Atkinson had offers from West Virginia, South Carolina, Idaho St., Fresno St., along with many others.
Jourdain Scoubes signs DI
(11/14/07) FRC basketball- Feather River College power foward Jourdain Scoubes has singned with Division I Utah Valley State Wolverines. The 6'8" sophomore is regarded as one of the best fowards in California having the ability to stretch the defense while being an impact in the paint. Scoubes has over five double-doubles this going into the Golden Valley Conference play.
FRC wins the James Clark
Tournament
(11/14/07) FRC basketball- The Feather River College Golden Eagles are champions of the 2007 James Clark tournament at Consumnes River College. FRC opened the tournament defeating San Jose City 72-76 in overtime. Jourdain Scoubes hit seven of nine free-throws in the second have and finished the game with sixteen points, ten rebounds and three blocks. Zach Atkinson led the Golden Eagles with twenty points along with Equs Darby who contributed thirteen points. Donnie Kidd played a key role in the win playing great defense and getting key rebounds.
The Golden Eagles defeated Contra Costa in the semi-final game 73-72. Alex McKenzie hit a three and a pull-up to give FRC the lead late in the second half. Ariece Perkins led FRC with ten rebounds while hitting two free throws late in the game to clinch the victory.
In the championship game, FRC beat West Valley 67-58. Riley Rowe played a great game hitting three three point shots in the second half. Rowe also dropped five assist and had two huge steals down the stretch in the win. Ariece Perkins had a game high twenty-three points going seven for seven from the charity line while hauling down nine rebounds. Jourdain Scoubes finished the game with eleven points and came down with nine boards. Scoubes solidified the game with a block and two big time rebounds in the final minutes to help FRC win the championship.
