Quincy, is a small town, that continues to carry small town values. Our community has very little crime, and provides an excellent opportunity for many student/athletes to realize their dreams of attending college and playing college football. Feather River College offers some of the smallest class sizes that you will find at any college or university. Why is this important? Research tells us that class size is one of the most important factors in achieving academic success in college. Smaller class sizes provides our students with better access to their professors. You will get to know your teachers and they will get to know you, which provides an enormous advantage later, should you need references from teachers. You will also have the ability to discuss class assignments and career plans with instructors, and receive prompt feedback. These advantages are not available to students when they are stuck in classes with sizes that could be in the hundreds.
College classes are hard enough, especially for football players, who have practices, film work and time in the weight room. Why make it harder on yourself? Coaches always talk about putting their players in the best position to succeed on the field. You deserve a college that will put you in the best position to succeed in the classroom as well as on the football field. Feather River College offers a variety of academic scholarships and other forms of financial aid. Please visit our website for more information.
Although the initial cost of college may seem to be overwhelming, when you consider the financial aid that is available, and the fact for the potential of the full athletic scholarships upon transferring to a four year university, the costs are very manageable. Now a days, college is more expensive than it has been historically. But don’t let worries over tuition, rob you of your dream to play college football. I hope that answers some of your questions.
