A Message from the Feather River College Director of Athletic Operations and Events:

Dear Feather River Student Athlete:

On behalf of the Feather River College Athletic Department, I would like to first congratulate you on making a sound investment in your academic and athletic future by choosing this unique institution. We are excited that you will find your experience as a Golden Eagle student athlete an exceptional one. Feather River College’s athletic program provides the student athlete with a reinforced support system that many community colleges often fall short of. Once you begin your participation in the Feather River College athletic program you will be expected to uphold the standards required of you that will help you achieve our expectations for excellence as an athlete and student.

Our goal here at FRC is to produce a well-adjusted, academically successful athlete. We achieve this goal through a series of journeys our athletes undertake physically, mentally, academically and socially. Our coaching staff, student services, and faculty in general regard your achievements as their own, and will constantly challenge you to exceed that goal each and every day. Through rigorous workouts and demanding schedules, our athletes will be pushed to their limits, but will find the end of each day personally rewarding as they strive toward success. Our coaches analyze your athletic progress constantly and work closely with the teachers to ensure academic growth. Responsibility lies within the athlete to use all the resources available to him/her to ensure that their maximum potential is reached. At times, our athletes may find this program difficult, but rest assured that hard work, dedication, cooperation, and the knowledgeable staff here at FRC combined together will guarantee success!

Let the Journey Begin!

Merle Trueblood,

Director of Athletic Operations and Events
