FR SEA
2009-10 Feather River Student Environmental Association
Student leadership is needed for SEA! Contact Eva if you are interested.
GREAT NEWS: SEA received a $9000 grant from the CA Dept of Motor Vehicles for "FReBE" (Feather River Eco Bike Effort). The funds will be used to provide a covered bike rack on campus, bike racks in town, and bike repair tools and supplies for our "shop" on campus.
2008-09 Feather River Student Environmental Association
This year the club is putting energy into designing and installing a covered bike rack on campus near the campus center. The rack should hold about 20 bikes once it is built. "The idea is to encourage more students and staff to bike to campus. We have a great bike trail from town, and there are so many benefits to riding!" says President Dale Ready. SEA continues to sell oakd firewood cords and do recycling on campus. Contact Dale for more information.
2007 -08: Feather River Student Environmental Association
Our student club has social events, sponsors professional development, takes care of recycling on campus, and does fundraising activities. We sell cords of oak firewood that was thinned from campus to "release" other oaks, and had a "Fun Day" with hiking and canoeing in Bucks Lake Wilderness. See photos here.
SEA co-presidents were Tiffani Wilson and Ariel French.
