Announcements, Special Opportunities, Jobs & Internships
Hallmarks of the program are getting students involved with hands-on applied projects, working with local partners to influence conservation and decision-making, and capitalizing on our unique landscape.
The Environmental Studies Department at FRC has a broad-based curriculum designed to prepare students for a wide variety of careers related to solving environmental and resource issues. Surrounded by over a million acres of public forests in a watershed that provides much of California's water supply, FRC is uniquely situated to offer such courses.
From California's water wars to the impact of spotted owls on forest management decisions to wildfire challenges, we are located at the focal point of many of today's hottest environmental issues.
