Who I am

Born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area, I’ve lived in California all of my life. I have resided in Chester with my husband and two children for the past thirteen years. I have a B.S. in Business Administration from CSU Chico and have spent quite a few years working in the private sector- first in manufacturing and marketing, and then self employment in the fields of forestry and child care. Prior to coming on board with Educational Talent Search, I worked five years in the Plumas County schools in various career education capacities.

Why ETS is important to me

Educational Talent Search is important because I believe that it fills a motivational gap that currently our local school district does not have the funding to provide. There are so many students in Plumas County that simply do not realize that they can gain further education after high school, whether it is college or vocational/technical training. ETS also helps parents who want to help their children succeed, but are not familiar with the college process. Finally, ETS gives students tools to help them survive high school and life beyond.
