Chester Community Chorus


       The Chester Community Chorus performs two yearly concerts; one at Christmas and one in the late spring. For the spring semester, instruction and rehearsals begin the first week of March. The chorus is open to all singers through audition. Please call Patty Sandbrook at 514-3108 for further information.

Units: 1.5          Instructor: Elsie Wesley             Hours: Sunday 3-5 and T 7-9pm         
           
Choral training in basic concert repertoire, including classical, sacred, pop and folk music; culminating in public performances.

 

 

 

Beginning and Intermediate Chorale                              Course ID: MUS 142/152
Units: .5            Instructor: Elsie Wesley             Hours: Sunday 2-3 and T 6-7pm
            Choral training and performance in basic choral repertoire, focusing on four-part music from the 19th and 20th centuries. Public performances throughout Plumas County.

 

Beginning and Intermediate Women’s Ensemble            Course ID: MUS 144/154
Units: .5            Instructor: Elsie Wesley                        Hours: Monday 7-8:30pm and TBA
            Choral training and performance for women’s voices in small group setting, focusing on a wide variety of three- and four-part music.

 

Beginning and Intermediate Men’s Ensemble     Course ID: MUS 146/156
Units:.5             Instructor: Elsie Wesley                         Hours: Monday 5:30-7pm and TBA
            Choral training and performance for men’s voices in small group setting, focusing on a wide variety of three- and four-part music.           

Beginning and Intermediate Handbell Ensemble Course ID: MUS 148/158
Units: .5            Instructor: Elsie Wesley             Hours: TBA
            Training and performance in a handbell ensemble. Repertoire includes pop, folk, sacred, spiritual, and classical music. Performances throughout Plumas County.
