Coach Deborah Whiting

Quincy High School Graduate – Cheerleader and Mascot

Attended Feather River College

Began coaching in 1993 for Pop Warner Cheer Program – coached 6 years, had 3 squads in the program totaling 40+ cheerleaders. Competed in local competition in Reno, placed 1st and won trip to Northern California Regional Pop Warner Competition in Santa Clara. Placed 5 th in Regionals.

Owner and operator of Rising Stars Gymnastics in Quincy, California. Coached classes and competitive gymnastic team. Taught summer classes for gymnastics and cheerleading for Feather River College Clinics.

Began coaching in 1999 for Quincy High School Cheerleading Program and started a dance team to the program. Each year my squads have earned a trip to National Cheer & Dance Competition for Universal Cheer & Dance Associations. Multiple girls from QHS selected as National All Stars for UCA & UDA. Attended competitions the last three years and placed 2 firsts and a second. Twelve of my girls over the last three years, selected out of several hundred in the Nation to attend an elite camp for individual cheerleaders and dancers in Hawaii.

Three years ago I was one of seven coaches out of several hundred high school coaches in the United States selected and hired to coach at this elite camp at the University of Hawaii working with girls from all over the Nation. Worked with several college and professional level coaches at this elite camp teaching the girls what it takes to become a college or professional level cheerleader. Have been selected and invited back to again coach at the University the last two years.

AACCA certified, CIF & NSCIF certifications, USAG & KAT certified gymnastic coach, CPR & First Aid certified.
