Why Art?

  • Various career opportunities evolve from a study of the basics of Studio Arts leading to jobs in design, animation, gallery exhibition, fashion, painting, digital and film photography, sculpture, graphic design, and industrial design among others.
  • Art is the language that all people speak that cut across racial, cultural, social, educational, and economic barriers and enhance cultural appreciation and awareness.
  • Art is eternal. Creativity and self-expression has always been essential to our humanity. Our earliest creative expressions were recorded in petroglyphs, cave paintings, and ancient sculptures. One of the first things kids do is draw, paint, and use their imagination to play. Modern artist express, challenge, educate, and document social trends.

"What is Art?" Picasso was asked.

He thought about it and then pointed at his sculpture of a bicycle saddle and a pair of handle bars, which he combined together in order to create a bull's head.

"What is Art? What is not?" Picasso replied.
