Feather River College welcomes applications from international students!  FRC is a 2-year college awarding Associate Degrees and opportunities to transfer to 4-year colleges or universities.  FRC's location in the quiet mountain community of Quincy, California is an attractive asset to students who are interested in a safe, friendly small-town environment.

FRC's 2000-01 international studentsAdmissions Requirements

Follow the checklist below for submitting the Admissions Packet to Feather River College.  Please submit the requested information in English, and adhere to date deadlines listed on the forms.

Please complete and provide the following:

1. Feather River College Application for Admissions (click here to complete online);

2.    FRC International Student Application Packet, which includes the following forms:

  • International Student Application form
  • Sponsor/Bank Statement of Financial Information form to provide evidence of satisfactory financial support (see estimated expenses below).
  • Health Questionnaire;
  • Physician's Certificate of Health completed by a physician showing an immunization clearance examination and results of a tuberculosis test;
  • A composition explaining your educational goals;
  • Original or certified copy of all transcripts of previous schools attended that are equivalent to high school or college level (comparable to those transcripts required for university admission in the home country);
  • Official results of the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) if student's native language is not English, with a recommended score of 500 on the written exam and 133 on the computer based test.  Information about testing dates may be obtained from the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, New Jersey, 08540 or visit their website at:  http://www.ets.org.

International students must maintain full-time status by completing a minimum of 12 units each semester, maintain at least a "C" grade point average, and complete their academic program at Feather River College within six semesters.

International Student Tuition
International students pay all required fees listed below.  Students receive a bus pass that provides free transportation in the local area.  The parking fee is waived if a student does not own a vehicle.

 

Required Fees for the 2009-10 Academic Year:
  • Standard Enrollment Fee:
$ 20 per unit
  • Nonresident Tuition Fee:
$ 190 per unit
  • Health Services Fee:
$ 17 per semester
  • Transportation Fee:
$ 1.50 per unit
  • Parking Fee:

$ 20 per semester

$  6 per summer session

Optional Fees:
  • Computer Printing Fee:

$ 5 per 100 pages

(first 50 pages. free)

  • Transcript Fee:

First two are free;

$ 5 each thereafter;

$10 rush service or fax service

 

International students must pay all required fees at the time of regiatration.
