Whether you're looking for an associate degree, skills to advance you in your employment, or transfer to a university, this college offers a great deal. Feather River College is set in idyllic surroundings that will nourish and motivate you to dedicate yourself to your betterment and the betterment of your world. Nestled in the heart of the Sierra, the college offers wonderful outdoor opportunities in addition to high-quality classroom instruction in a wide variety of fields.

At FRC we have made a college-wide commitment to provide the highest quality of learning possible. We have outstanding teachers and talented staff who are all eager to help you succeed. The faculty here are outstanding educators-with the best training in their fields and enthusiasm unmatched by other colleges. All of us at Feather River faculty, staff, administration, and governing board are committed professionals with a single goal in mind your success. At Feather River College, you will have cheerful, interested fellow students with whom to share perspectives in small classes, and a Learning Center that provides excellent tutorial support.

Please explore this website for the degrees, certificates and courses available at the college. We offer a comprehensive curriculum, with state-of-the-art technology that enables students and staff to access information and communicate easily. Courses are available online as well as face-to-face.

Enrollment fees are very modest, with financial aid available to almost everyone.

At FRC, we are very proud of everything we do, but we are especially proud of our most distinctive programs, not found at other community colleges: Athletics here includes not only football, softball, baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball, but also a rodeo team! Our Equine Studies Program is a rare opportunity, well supported in a beautiful setting, with complete boarding facilities. With a fish hatchery on campus and two million acres of national forest surrounding us, students in Environmental Studies and Outdoor Recreation Leadership have unique opportunities for hands-on experience. Outdoor opportunities also enrich the learning in our life sciences programs, preparing students more effectively for transfer in such fields as health care, natural resources and land management, and advanced work in biological sciences. The college also provides effective training in fields such as office management and vocational nursing.

Course credit from FRC transfers easily to the California State University or University of California systems, and articulation agreements are in place for programs in the University of Nevada system. We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, a federally recognized accreditor.

If you are a former student, I am sure you remember your experience here with great fondness. Please consider visiting us! We want to hear from you.

On behalf of the college, I welcome you to the exciting learning opportunities here. Whether you are eighteen or sixty-five, you will find something here to delight you and to improve your life.

Ron Taylor, Ph.D.
