The Office of Institutional Research and Planning supports college planning by providing information about the college to planning committees and college administration.  The office also provides guidance on planning practice.

District Plans

The College uses three different types of plans based on timeframe to effect its vision and mission.  These plans include master plans (longest timeframe, 7-10 years), strategic plans and comprehensive program reviews (middle timeframe, 4-3 years), and annual program reviews (short-range, one year).  The chief master plan of the college is the Educational Master Plan, which addresses the long-term direction and intentions for development of instructional programs and support services. Mid-range plans outline program growth or contraction, challenges, and inevitable challenges to master plan goals.  Short term planning (annual program reviews) brings longer range plans into alignment with the current and expected near term expected situation.

.

Education Plan 2012-2016 The intent of this Education Plan, constructed by the Council on Instruction, is to provide direction for the educational future of Feather River College’s academic programs.  The plan attempts to capture the current status of Feather River College’s educational programs and to describe said programs’ strategic needs as they relate to instruction.

.

FRC Strategic Plan 2010-2013 The Strategic Plan is the college’s implementation plan for addressing the longer-term goals contained in the master plans. The Strategic Plan contains goals which are approximately three years in scope (i.e., achievement of each goal should be achievable within three years), while the Master Plans generally are much longer in scope.  It is the responsibility of the Strategic Planning Committee, working together with the Superintendent/ President, to see to the effective integration and coordination of the various plans of the college.

The Student Services Plan provides a roadmap for decision-making, budget allocation, and goal implementation. It will also facilitate the development of other important plans for the District.

.

Strategic Technology Plan  The objective of the District’s technology plan is to provide a roadmap for addressing project prioritization and key issues facing technology deployment and use at Feather River College.  The success of this plan will be measured on FRC’s ability to provide better service, reduce maintenance efforts, increase functionality, communicate with other campus plans, and collaborate with external organizations.
